Vampires are fictional blood-sucking half-Human monsters. Vampire legends exist on at least 17 planets and were inspired by the Great Vampires of the Dark Times.

Lore

Vampire legends on Earth and other planets were inspired by the ancient Great Vampires. The Doctor mentions that legends state that vampires can only be killed by a stake to the heart. They also could not cross running water and were injured by sunlight.(DW: State of Decay)
