Bay 1 was one of at least 52 cryo-chambers contained within the Torchwood Hub Morgue. (TV: They Keep Killing Suzie, PROSE: The Torchwood Archives) Along with Bay 11, it was one of the only two bays which remained from an old cryogenic system. It contained a Silicate beast.
