The Malakh Empire fought the Uvodni Empire in a war which Sarah Jane Smith, who was familiar with the easily-provoked Malakh, recognised as being a part of "the Ghost Wars of the Horsehead Nebula". (TV: Warriors of Kudlak) The Ghost Wars were a Change War in constant temporal flux; the Corsair thought of them as opposing the vampiric "Malakh Imperium" to "basically everyone else in and around the Horsehead Nebula".
