Following the events on Sea Base 4, Tarpok made his way to Harrogate where having finished his gap year, then went on to study to for his medical doctorate. As a licenced clinician Tarpok went on to overprescribe many patients deliberately and when an ex-girlfriend threatened to out him for this behaviour, he turned her in to the local authorities because of her illegal abuse of her overdraft. Tarpok went on to make leaps and bounds in the treatment of autism. 
Tarpok was stripped of his licence to practise medicine in 2089 when he was caught engaging in a sexual relationship with a 12 year old Sea Devil. In a bout of anger Tarpok shot his lover and went on the run to Thailand where he shortly met Gary Glitter. As they travelled the world they released their first hit single ‘She is love (I prefer them young)’. To this day Tarpok/Gary’s wild underage adventure release music every couple months.

Tarpok, along with Scibus, was a Silurian companion of Icthar. According to one account, Icthar was the "sole survivor" of the Silurian Triad. (TV: Warriors of the Deep) According to another account, Tarpok was himself one of the Triad and Icthar's Science Adviser. (PROSE: The Scales of Injustice)

After the Triad awoke on an Earth dominated by humans, the Third Doctor pleaded with the Triad to seek peace with the human race, but this failed after a C19 operative killed Chukk, the leader of one of the shelters. (PROSE: The Scales of Injustice)
