Steg ordered the ship destroyed to kill the Rutan, but Kurt and Lisa confronted him. Steg non-fatally shot Kurt, but was shot himself by Lisa, whom he had underestimated. He saluted her and warned her of the bomb. She threw it into the Sontaran pod the Rutan was trying to escape in. Commander Steg was the leader of the Sontarans invading the Tiger Moth. He wore a distinctive gold helmet.
Biography
Steg led the Sontarans in their search for a Rutan hiding in human spaceships. (PROSE: Shakedown)
Invading the Tiger Moth, Steg encountered resistance by Captain Lisa Deranne and Kurt, so he convinced them they would not be harmed if they assisted in killing the Rutan, though he had no intention of honoring his bargain, even killing Nikos himself when the young man tried to shot him. Steg ordered the ship destroyed to kill the Rutan, but Kurt and Lisa confronted him. Steg non-fatally shot Kurt, but was shot himself by Lisa, whom he had underestimated.
