Karina was an officer on board Sea Base 4 in 2084.
Karina's rank was Ensign, and was a close friend of Maddox. During the attack on the base by the Silurians and Sea Devils, she unfortunately discovered Nilson and Solow using Maddox to sabotage the base. Nilson and Solow had conditioned Maddox and had him strangle Karina to death.
Her body was discovered by Preston. (TV: Warriors of the Deep)
