Martyn Grove was the British Minister for Public Hygiene in summer of 2015. Following the Hyperion invasion of Britain, he was among the populace who fled to the London Underground. While sheltering in King's Cross St. Pancras he attempted to take charge of London's survivors, but was overruled by the Twelfth Doctor after Kate Stewart inducted him as President of Earth. He then met the Hyperions in Trafalgar Square and told them of the Doctor, hoping to be given control of Earth. After leading them to the Doctor, Martyn was incinerated by Zraa-Korr.
