Professor A. J. Blandish taught history at St Oscar's University.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Early life[[edit] | [edit source]]

Blandish had a difficult relationship with A. J. Wagstaff. Wagstaff once borrowed a book from his library and believed that he had lost it, but Blandish actually found it and kept it secret, and Wagstaff got the office that he wanted. Blandish ended up preferring the office that he got. (PROSE: Oh No It Isn't!)

Perfecton[[edit] | [edit source]]

In 2593, Blandish went on the St Oscar's expedition to Perfecton. After the destruction of the Winton, he hoped that he would get Bernice Summerfield's rooms, but Wagstaff said that he had asked for them on the day that he arrived at St Oscar's. He knew that the Perfectons did not develop space travel, making him doubt that the missile that hit the Winton was of their design.

Blandish knew of the Grel and told Menlove Stokes of their dataxes. He disagreed with Ranjit Singh's belief that the chamber beneath the Perfecton city was so big because they could move through dimensions, instead suggesting that it was because big rooms were impressive. Believing that they were going to be killed by the supernova, Blandish and Wagstaff made peace with one another before they were saved by the restored Winton. (PROSE: Oh No It Isn't!)

Appearance[[edit] | [edit source]]

Blandish was ancient and had a white-whiskered face. He wore tweed with leather patches on the elbows of his jacket. (PROSE: Oh No It Isn't!)
