Tom Streeter's inn was burnt down by the Fire People as part of their plan for world domination. Firefighters attempted to put it out but it proved impossible. After the Third Doctor had been enlisted to investigate by the Home Office he visited the ruined inn and met Streeter. It was located ten miles from the nearest village. (COMIC: Trial of Fire)
