The Vampires of Venice[1] is the name of the sixth episode of Series 5 to be aired on 8th May 2010.

There was some initial confusion over the title of this story, with some media sources -- as well as Matt Smith in a TV interview[2] -- using the title Vampires in Venice.

Synopsis

  • Some filming took place in Caephilly Castle [10]

Rumours

  • It is believed The Doctor will use a gondola in this episode [12]
  • Toby Whithouse told SFX "At one point the Doctor says the word ‘diabetic’. One character is a talking otter. There is an almost painfully beautiful gag about cheese and biscuits. One of those isn't true." And the Doctor won't say "Geronimo." [13]
