In the early 1950's, a small television shop was owned by a man called Magpie and sold cheap TV sets to many London citizens. Really, Magpie was under the fear of the Wire which fed off the energy of human faces. When he was found out by the Doctor, Magpie fled to Alexandria Palace to finish the Wire's evil plan but all he ever wanted was peace and the Wire coldly destroyed him, turning his body into dust.
