The bran-puca was an engineered creature taking the form of a large bat, created by the Great Houses to "exist at an angle to normal spacetime". Near indestructible and with teeth that could cut through both timestreams and Shadow-weapons, the most unique facet of this creature was how it interacted with time loops. Instead of repeating the loop, they instead would double their number within the looped spacetime.
Due to an altercation between Spinning Jenny and Baron Samedi breaking off part of Strines into a bubble, Cobden-Bright was dispatched to deal with the situation using a bran-puca. The gestalt entity Brierly later claimed the bran-puca as its new body after its last one was destroyed during the crisis. (PROSE: Spinning Jenny)
