Lyshur Lysus was the leader of the Omwanar. It was due to meet with Space-General Sir Robert Simmons to sign a peace treaty ending the war between humans and the Omwanar. Because Simmons had just been murdered, Steven Taylor met with Lyshur instead.
Steven and Lyshur got along well, to the point that Lyshur wanted to use Steven's body to incubate its eggs. However, after a scuffle with Simmons's murderer, Space-Colonel Rufus Malvin, Lyshur laid its eggs in the dead Malvin instead. Lyshur then died as a natural part of the Omwanar life cycle.
