Cristophe Zarodnix was the leader of the Cult of Morbius. He was the richest man in the galaxy, possibly the universe, though this may have been a rumour put about by his own team. Zarodnix was the owner of the Zarodnix Corporation.

He was a merchant, buying and selling planets for a profit. Among others he bought Karn from the Sisterhood of Karn. He made this planet into his home, due to its significance to Morbius. (AUDIO: Sisters of the Flame)

After acquiring a Time Lord named Straxus, Zorodnix finally resurrected Morbius using gene splicing technology on the remains of his brain, having taken the genes from Straxus. He was defeated by the Eighth Doctor, who deactivated Morbius' stellar manipulator, allowing the Time Lords to correct the flow of time, removing Morbius' new Empire from existence, resulting in this whole series of events becoming an aborted timeline. (AUDIO: The Vengeance of Morbius)
