The Tenth Doctor was aware that a reincarnated Time War-era bronze Dalek had a data store which would allow it to recognise the Doctor as its enemy. Knowing that the data store was out of date in the post-Time War universe, the Doctor correctly reasoned that the Dalek intended to update its knowledge using his mind. (PROSE: I Am a Dalek)
