Generally speaking, we disambiguate out-of-universe pages while leaving in-universe ones undabbed. That's why we have Castrovalva (TV story) while the undabbed Castrovalva is for the city. However, this can be confusing when dealing with the in-universe counterparts and namesakes of out-of-universe things, such as Tom Baker and Tom Baker. Therefore, to make the wiki easier to use, we employ the disambiguation term "(in-universe)".
When to use it
The "(in-universe)" disambiguation term should be used to dab any in-universe thing named after an out-of-universe thing. For example, Tom Baker (in-universe), William Hartnell (in-universe), Doctor Who (in-universe) and Doctor Who Series 9 (in-universe) and The Five Doctors (in-universe). It should generally not be applied to in-universe things that have out-of-universe things named after them, such as Who Killed Kennedy.
In some cases, these may rules may not be sufficient to eliminate confusion and, in those cases, a specific talk page discussion should be started.
How to use it
The disambiguation term to use is "(in-universe)". When further disambiguation is required, further descriptors may be added in the format "(in-universe noun)", such as "(in-universe book)" or "(in-universe game)".
