Bliss was an addictive mood drug sold on the planet New Earth. Infected with an airbourne virus, it killed its users. Prior to 5,000,000,053, it caused the majority of the Human (or Near-Human) population of New Earth to die within seven minutes flat, save the inhabitants of the undercity of New New York and in the Motorway to survive. With no one to feed on it eventually began to starve to death, until it became extinct. (DW: Gridlock)
