A '''''Blue Peter segment''''' which aired on the [[4 April (releases)|4 April]] [[2005 (releases)|2005]] featured [[Christopher Eccleston]] in-character as the [[Ninth Doctor]]. It it notable for being the only on-screen appearance of Eccleston in the role outside of [[Series 1 (Doctor Who)|Series 1]] and general promotional material. In total, it was the Ninth Doctor's third appearance on TV, following [[TV]]: ''[[The Trip of a Lifetime (TV story)|The Trip of a Lifetime]]'', ''[[Rose (TV story)|Rose]]'' and ''[[The End of the World (TV story)|The End of the World]]''. It was also the first televised story to feature the Doctor facing a [[Dalek]] and was most likely one of the final televised performances Eccleston filmed for the role.
