Vade the Defiant was a Sontaran Captain of the Fourth Sontaran Battle Fleet. In addition to his Sontaran space armour, he wore a blue cape and wielded an axe.

"For the glory of the Sontaran Empire", he participated in the Sontarans' efforts to alter history, which brought him into a confrontation with the Doctors and their companions. During the "glorious battle", he chose to go open-skinned as he removed his helmet. Ultimately, he was defeated, but left with the belief that they were forces greater than himself, perhaps even greater than the Sontaran Empire, that would stop the Doctors. (GAME: Legacy)
