Tizoc was the seventh tlatoani of Tenochtitlan. He proved unable to keep up the conquest needed to preserve the Aztec Empire, so by Tlacaelel's suggestion, Ahuitzotl poisoned Tizoc and replaced him as emperor. (PROSE: The Left-Handed Hummingbird)
