Keiko was Takagi Mamoru's daughter. She was allowed to leave Edo at the Shogun Tokugawa Ienari's discretion whilst the rest of her family were held captive to ensure her father's loyalty. She was in love with Okada Shumei. She showed Barbara Wright and Susan Foreman a tea ceremony. She wanted to know about how women are in the west. She became distraught learning of her father's treason. Keiko and Shumei escaped during the battle with the Shogun's men. (AUDIO: The Barbarians and the Samurai)
