History of the Doctor Who Universe
- Rose Tyler is born.
- The events of The Tenth Planet occur at this time. The first recorded attack by Cybermen on Earth results in the destruction of the Cybermen's home planet, Mondas. The strain proves too much for the Doctor, however, who collapses and regenerates from his first incarnation into his second.
