Professor Pardek (or Parsek or Parsec) was the genius behind the flight of the attempt of the Solaros 10 to exceed than the speed of light. It wasn't a total success as Parsec got caught in the blast of the solar stacks and, in an energy transfer, was mutated into a kind of “neoform reptilioplas”. The Eleventh Doctor's timely intervention saw the effects reversed, the ship stabilised and Parsec and the pilot Sorben both saved. (COMIC: Faster Than Light)
