Jessamy Moore was a journalist involved in the Martian invasion in 1898. She encountered the Doctor during his degeneration crisis in the form of the First Doctor. She told him about her experiences. After seeing the Doctor degenerate into the future form of the Tenth Doctor, she made her way to Southwark with him, encountering Strax and Vastra. Strax told her of their adventures.
