Black Albatross was a pirate ship in the 17th century which was captained by Samuel Pike. Under Pike, the mate was Cherub. Both were engaged in the search for Captain Avery's legendary gold treasure. The First Doctor spent some time aboard as Pike's effective prisoner. (TV: The Smugglers)
