Powell is a presenter and journalist from the Amman Valley in South Wales. He presented on BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat, before becoming BBC News’ first ever Gaming and Culture Correspondent in 2021. He’s presented the BBC Proms from the Royal Albert Hall and was a member of the BBC radio presentation team for Charles III’s coronation.

He can often be heard presenting on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Sounds and seen presenting factual entertainment programmes on Welsh language TV station S4C.
