Imaginary Boys was the prose adaptation of the audio story of the same name, written by Paul Magrs In 2016.
Out of the anthology it was printed in, Wilde Stories 2016, it was the only story to make use of licenced Doctor Who elements; firstly, David Taylor, who first appeared in a non-DWU novel Strange Boy, then Fanboys, and again in The Diary of a Dr Who Addict; a Novelisor, seen in AUDIO: Ringpullworld, Find and Replace; and Magda's Mysteries, a bookshop first seen in PROSE: The Dreadful Flap.
Four years later, it was reprinted in Silver Jubilee, an anthology commemorating Paul Magrs' twenty-fifth year in writing.
