The Giant Seed was a Front Page comic printed in TV Century 21 in 1967.
The story crossed over with the Doctor Who universe by featuring as one of its settings Unity City, a location first introduced in The Daleks story Duel of the Daleks.

Worldbuilding
- Although Spectrum are called in to investigate the seed, they quickly dismiss the possibility of Mysteron involvement, determining it to be of greater interest to either the Universal Secret Service or the botanists.
- Pete uses his TV 21 credentials to commandeer a plane at the airport, in order to get a sample of the seed to the Unity City Scientific Research and Development Centre.
- Seismo, the seed pod's planet of origin, is so named because of its frequent tremors.
- Doctor Stone reasons that a seed spore must have lodged on the rocket which went to Seismo and been shaken off upon re-entry into Earth's atmosphere.
- A specially silenced freight-copter is used to take the growth to the Black Sea after it is discovered it reacts to noise.
- Pete obtains a drum of phosphorus from Universal Chemicals Plant, Istanbul.
Story notes
- As well as being a crossover with the Doctor Who universe, this story also crossed over with Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and 21 by featuring Spectrum and the Universal Secret Service respectively.
