Stained-Glass Daleks were the rebuilt survivors of a saucer crash. There were originally 12 Daleks onboard the flying saucer, all members of the Emperor's Personal Guard, who were part of a battlefleet that invaded Kantra.

They were damaged and crashed on Strellin with most of them perishing, but the survivors included a Black Dalek, a Dalek saucer commander, and four other Daleks.

The surviving Daleks possessed casings resembling stained glass windows that could be found in a church. Though they were able to mobilise, their weapons were primitive and their standard suction arms were replaced with claws. Their contemporary casings were vulnerable to fire, as demonstated by the Sixth Doctor. (AUDIO: Order of the Daleks [+]Loading...["Order of the Daleks (audio story)"])
