John Lumic's wheelchair was used by its eponymous owner as a primary means of short-distance transportation. Such features incorporated into the wheelchair included a motion control lever, automated life-support systems, and an oxygen tank. Additionally, there were doses of medication which would be taken intravenously. (TV: Rise of the Cybermen)

Betraying his boss, Mr Crane severely damaged the life-support systems. After conversion, the wheelchair was presumably incinerated along with Lumic's body. (TV: The Age of Steel)
