Capercaillie

A capercaillie was a type of bird native to Earth. It was used as food by humans.

When the Second Doctor regained consciousness after being turned into an Androgum, he immediately stated that capercaillies were served in brandy sauce, with a stuffing of black pudding made of live pig's blood, herbs, and pepper, and that the breasts of the birds should be slit and studded with truffles.
