Ankle boots

Ankle boots were boots worn by both men and women, reaching over the ankles.

The Second Doctor wore ankle boots. (TV: The Power of the Daleks-The War Games, The Three Doctors, The Five Doctors, The Two Doctors) His successor, the Third Doctor, briefly wore them after his forced regeneration. (TV: Spearhead from Space)
