The Haddron Republic, unofficially referred to as an empire by some, was led by a triumvirate of consuls. It covered half of its galaxy.

Hans Kesar, a popular consul general, declared himself General for Life, essentially an emperor in all but name. Two of his closest friends, fellow Consul Milton Trayx and millionaire Gerhart Rutger, were informed of this and were unsure how to respond. But when Milton Trayx was informed that Hans Kesar lost the Fifth Legion he called for Kesar to be impeached for his actions. As a result of this impeachment, a civil war broke out between Hans Kesar and Milton Trayx. Kesar was defeated and Trayx won the civil war at a cost of millions of lives, resulting in Haddron becoming a Republic. (PROSE: Dreams of Empire)
