Hunter green was a dark shade of green worn as camouflage by big game hunters on Earth during the 19th century.

The Eighth Doctor wore a double-breasted frock coat of hunter green velvet with peaked lapels when he first met Charlie Pollard, and when he confronted Colonel Peter Rathbone of the British Secret Service on the R101 over France during 1930.
