Image policiesedit source

Hi! I see you've tried to upload images to the wiki, but as a new user, you are probably not aware that we have some pretty strict policies regarding image upload and use. Before you go any further, I recommend you read the following policies:

Christmas cheeredit source

Happy holidays!

As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.

This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!

We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.

2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!

Deep Breathedit source

Hi! Please do not copy plot summaries (or anything else) from Wikipedia (or anywhere else). On this wiki, we want original content. The plot summary for Deep Breath is incomplete because it's a very recently released story. There is no rush; we have tons of older stories that are missing plot summaries as well.

As for your comment about the writing quality, that is what happens when an article has multiple editors. When the editing for the article has quieted down a bit (probably when the next episode airs), I will fix the grammar and such. There's no point in fixing it now when there are so many users who want to add/change the article.

Missyedit source

Hi! An admin will take care of that as soon as one gets a chance. Thanks. Shambala108 23:13, November 8, 2014 (UTC)

Out of interestedit source

Hiya, you mentioned on Talk:Fourteenth Doctor that the Stranger Things Wiki is currently undergoing issues with admins, and I am curious as to what's going on, if you don't mind explaining.

Oh, it's not all that interesting. The admin who created our main Discord server has gone MIA; we've been trying to get it back under control, but it's taking a frustratingly long time. Just sounds like there's a similar-ish issue rumbling on over here, in regards to the image guidelines. TheGreatGabester 01:03, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

You mayedit source

Easy to miss given how unwieldy the list of proposals has become, but you may be interested to know that someone has already proposed fixing our template formatting on Tardis:Temporary forums! Ctrl+F for "hatnote" and you'll see it. Personally I'm hoping we can get it fixed on the individual template talk pages without waiting for a forum slot to open up. – n8 () 16:40, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

Ah, completely missed that, thanks for pointing that out! In that case, I'll withdraw my proposal, and yep, a hatnote is probably the way to go -- or at least, some kind of hatnote variant should be created. TheGreatGabester 16:48, 10 March 2023 (UTC)

New Threadedit source

I see you added a new proposal to T:TF about moving the Gallery subpage link. Luckily, this doesn't actually need a thread, and can instead be discussed at Template talk:Gallerylink, as per the closing post of the image policies thread#Conclusion, and then remove your proposal. As an aside, I do agree with your point that we should use a small template which looks like the current invalid one instead of a you may-like one.Cousin Ettolrhc 19:28, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
