An Old Man lived in a hut at the edge of the universe. Lotto VI sought knowledge, and the man, under the mental influence of Auteur, directed him find the Book of Christmas in the Plume Coteries' Library. Not wanting to leave loose ends, Auteur let the "innocent old man" free of his posession after his plans were thwarted.
