Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Blackpool Pleasure Beach was an amusement park in the town of Blackpool, England.

History

In 1985, the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach, where they encountered the Celestial Toymaker and his servant, Stefan.

Amusements included Galactic Adventure, a roller coaster and a ghost train. Visitors could buy candy floss and toffee apples. (PROSE: The Nightmare Fair / AUDIO: The Nightmare Fair)

By 2089, climate change caused it to be overtaken by jungle and abandoned. It was turned into a hunting ground, which was rented by Triss and his friends for a stag party. (PROSE: All the Empty Towers)

The Tenth Doctor compared "[being] able to say that [he'd] looked through the Forty-Foot telescope" to "buying a t-shirt to say [he'd] been on the log flume at Blackpool Pleasure Beach". When mocked by Rose Tyler, the Doctor confirmed that he had bought the same t-shirt four times in varying chest sizes. (AUDIOThe Sword of the Chevalier)
