Teletubbies were the eponymous characters of the television show of the same name. They appeared as humanoids with televisions embedded into their stomachs. In 1997, Mark Whitaker saw a Woolworths with a cardboard cut-out of a Teletubby outside it. (PROSE: Touched by an Angel [+]Loading...["Touched by an Angel (novel)"])
The Saxon Master, after his election as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, watched an episode of Teletubbies in wonderment, marvelling at the idea of the characters having televisions in their stomachs. (TV: The Sound of Drums [+]Loading...["The Sound of Drums (TV story)"])
Behind the scenes
In non-valid sources
Tinky Winky, Dipsy, and Laa-Laa once leant over to watch Po's belly, which was displaying a video of a young boy in an area of grass. They themselves were being watched on a small screen by the boy. (TV: Future Generations [+]Loading...["Future Generations (TV story)"])
Other matters
- DWA 20 made the observation that the Abzorbaloff would resemble a Tellytubby in a hypothetical scenario in which he absorbed the Wire, resulting in a television screen appearing in his stomach. To further that point, the Abzorbaloff exclaims the Tellytubby catchphrase, "Eh-oh!"
