- 1960 - Hugh Greene started his job as BBC Director-General.

- 2021 - The BBC announced the casting of John Bishop as new companion Dan Lewis.

- Big Finish Productions announced the casting of Michael Troughton as the Second Doctor, as well as the involvement of Frazer Hines as Jamie McCrimmon, in The Third Doctor Adventures release The Annihilators.
- The BBC confirmed the return of the Sea Devils for the Spring special Legend of the Sea Devils.
