The Exaltation was the first story in the audio anthology The Quin Dilemma, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Jacqueline Rayner and featured Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Bonnie Langford as Melanie Bush and introduced Jonnie Broadbent as Alonza, Byron, Clarent, Dellan and Urvis.

This story and the rest of the anthology marked the 40th anniversary of Baker's debut as the Sixth Doctor.

Hints of a temporal anomaly bring the Doctor and Mel to Arunopal on the day King Otho steps down as ruler. But Otho has a dilemma - which of his five sons should succeed to the throne? He has a deadly game in mind to solve the problem - and the target is a certain Time Lord...
