The God Gene was the eighth story in the Bernice Summerfield anthology Something Changed. It was written by Ben Woodhams.

Summary

Lieutenant Bernice Summerfield is supervising some construction work. She is captured and was supposed to have died. Meanwhile, Bev heads up a military unit that was wiped out. Benny spends her time being interrogated.
