History[[edit] | [edit source]]
Moldox was the origin of human life in its sector. Governed by Jocelyn Harris, the early colony was built out of the colony ships and quickly became, discounting a bad winter, a utopia, that "new and exotic people" frequently flocked to.
During the Last Great Time War, the Tantalus Spiral became a target for the Eternity Circle, a Dalek force descending onto Moldox where Harris quickly sold out her people to the invaders. While much of the populace was enslaved as a labour force, some rebelled, warring against the Skaro Degradations who had been sent to patrol the ruins.
When the War Doctor crashed onto the planet, he allied with the rebel Cinder to discover the Dalek Temporal Cannon, a weapon capable of removing its targets from time. After destroying the main Dalek centre of operations on the planet, the two left for Gallifrey. When the Doctor had used Borusa to remove all the Daleks from the Tantalus Spiral, the after-effects of the Dalek invasion still remained. Though the residents quickly threw themselves into rebuilding their world, the Doctor believed that they would regain their memory of the horror caused by the Daleks. After spending three days searching for the late Cinder's childhood home and exhuming the remains of her family, the Doctor buried them all together, swearing to his friend that he would end the Time War. (PROSE: Engines of War)
