George Dixon was a police officer in the 1960s of Earth-33⅓. He sometimes worked in a studio that was adjacent to the one the First Doctor and his companions filmed their programme in.
After a policeman inspected a sign for 76 Totter's Lane in the Doctor's studio, the camera cut to Dixon who proceeded to address an unseen audience. He said that his job didn't end when he goes off duty and that a cry for help can come any time of the day or night. He begun an anecdote about his Detective Inspector Andy Pandy before the crew realised their mistake and cut to camera three, showing Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright in Coal Hill School.
