Time Lord battle cruisers were utilised in the Last Great Time War against the Daleks. After defending the Vantross's feeding hives from a Dalek fleet, Cass Fermazzi's gunship was shot down by a Time Lord battle cruiser in order to get a better view of the escaping Dalek ships.
