A parallel universe existed in between N-Space and the Inferno universe. Between 1940 and 1945, the Earth was at war with an unknown alien force.
Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart was a native to this universe, and his parents died in the bomb raids. He was rescued as a teenager by his counterpart Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart from N-Space and brother James Lethbridge-Stewart from the Inferno universe. He moved to the Inferno universe and took the place of its parallel Alistair, who had died as a child. (PROSE: The Schizoid Earth)
