Lost Locket was a novel which the Sixth Doctor was reading when he first appeared in the Remembered TARDIS.
The novel's plot apparently concerned a young woman named Emily who inherited a locked locket from her grandmother which was related to a cryptic, long-lost love and a secret promise. Emily met a man named Samuel who had himself inherited a key that fit the locket, and they discover together that their ancestors had once loved each other. Emily's ancestor looked exactly like her. With the locket now opened by the "right people at the right time", they could fulfill the missed love of the past. The final sentence in the section the Sixth Doctor read was, "As they walked hand in hand through the enchanting forest of Willowbrook, they knew that their love was destined to transcend time, just like the mystery which had brought them together."
