- Ramsden was the first character to die of unnatural causes and not be resurrected in one shape or form (Jamie was killed by a bomb prior to The Empty Child but was brought back by the nanogenes, Dave, other Dave and Miss Evangelista in Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead were killed by Vashta Nerada but lived on, saved by Charlotte Lux) in a TV story written by Steven Moffat.
