Wise was an actor who was one half of the duo Morecambe and Wise.
Whilst flittering about different time periods in the malfunctioning TARDIS, Donna Noble briefly wandered onto a stage where two men, Morecambe and Wise, were talking. Wise was telling Morecambe about a new play he had written, called The Importance of Being Ernie. (COMIC: Untitled [+]Loading...["Untitled (DWM 598 comic story)"])
In 2006, a young man witnessed the Third Doctor fight with a drunk man, Paul, on the London Underground. Paul had been acting strangely, and soon disappeared after he was revealed to have been an alien. The young man thought the sight was better than Christmas Morecambe and Wise re-runs.
