Craig Owens along with his flatmate, Sophie, took on a new lodger in their flat. When the lodger turned out to be the Doctor he helped them solve the mystery of the flat above them on Aickman Road. Feeling that the Doctor was ruining his life, he tried to make him move out, until the Doctor implanted information about himself in Craigs head. He was able to destroy the alien ship by thinking about how he wanted to stay with Sophie, as the ship only wanted people who wanted to escape.
