The Dreekans had a religion referred to as "Dreekan Voodoo". It was a dangerous religion, with frequent use of sacrifice, drug-use and vandalism. They worshipped the Treeka'dwra, who was a sort of messiah figure. The cultists could be identified by their painted faces. (PROSE: Storm Harvest)

History[[edit]]

At some point in their history, the Dreekans were overcome by the Dreekan Voodoo. It led to a major collapse of the economy, as over three billion members became addicted to drugs. Eventually, the cultists were stopped and were forced to the edge of the Dreekan society.

Dreekans lived on many of the colony worlds of the humans, especially the ocean worlds. They were known to be very fond of swimming and surfing.

A population of Dreekans lived on Coralee, most of them law-abiding citizens. Some voodoo cultists lived on Coralee, centring around a temple in the jungle. They were mostly harmless, though they did vandalise property. During the invasion of the Krill, the cultists encountered Philip Garret and believed him to be the Treeka'dwra. They took him to their temple, but they were stopped when Rajiid and Ace interrupted them and Garret regained control of his mind. (PROSE: Storm Harvest)
